CNC Machining + HAAS Certificate for Complete Beginners

Prerequisites:
Participants must complete the HAAS Basic Mill Operation online course prior to the session. Completion of this course, combined with the in-person training, qualifies participants to receive a HAAS Basic Mill Certificate. Basic computer skills are required; no prior CNC experience is necessary.

Overview:

This two-part workshop is designed for complete beginners and provides a thorough, hands-on introduction to operating a HAAS CNC mill. Guided by a certified instructor, you will build foundational skills across both sessions and leave with the confidence to safely set up and run a CNC machine.

Session 1, Machine Familiarization and Setup (3 hours): Get introduced to the HAAS CNC mill, covering machine components, basic safety, control panel navigation, and powering up and homing the machine. Learn how to load tooling, set tool and work offsets, and understand the role of feeds and speeds in CNC operation.

Session 2, Running Programs and Machine Operation (3 hours): Build on Session 1 by loading and executing a CNC program, performing first-article inspection, and learning proper machine cleanup procedures. By the end of this session, you will have run a complete CNC cycle from start to finish under instructor supervision.
