Learn the fundamentals of sewing in this hands-on, project-based workshop. Participants will be introduced to sewing machine operation, fabric preparation, and essential stitching techniques while making a stylish and functional tote bag. By the end of the class, each student will leave with a completed tote bag they’ve cut, stitched, and assembled themselves.

What You’ll Learn:

• How to thread and operate a sewing machine

• Fabric cutting, measuring, and pinning techniques

• Safe and effective sewing practices

• Construction of a functional tote bag, with optional decorative details

Materials Provided: Sewing machines, fabric, thread, pins, scissors, patterns, and all necessary tools. Students may also bring their own fabric for a personalized design.

Takeaway: A finished tote bag and the foundational skills to continue sewing independently.
